I have received an extremely polite email from the Peppermint Creeps asking for my assistance with all the posts happening on Glitzinet. They have asked for this to stop NOW!
They have noted that if I didn't attempt to stop this situation, they would contact their legal representative, who will contact the ISP and try and get Glitzine and our board on Hostboard shutdown.
Now THIS is something that I DO NOT WANT TO HAPPEN! Enough is enough guys, if you really want Glitzine shutdown, carry on. I've put alot of energy, time and money into this place, and so has Andreas, I don't want to see it end in such a nasty way!

Glad you removed the threads, Spice... it was getting a tad too silly and I think everyone, including the ones involved, will agree with that.
If you haven't already done it, maybe you can ban the IP adress and user name for Promosquad, so something has been done to prevent this from happening again... whoever it might be

So...what of other boards?...haha.

Wow. During this sickness of mine, did I miss something big last night? I mean, if this threat of legal action is being made over the three topics here over the past week or so, well...ummm...O.K. But it couldn't be over such petty silly stuff. It must have gotten REAL ugly last night to go for legal action.

The whole thing was rather dramatic. Reminisent of Coronation St but with big hair and make up.
Honestly Spice, I don't think they would have a legal leg to stand on whatsoever. Take a look at Scott Weiland's diatribe against Axl Rose on the Velvet Revolver sight this past week, or as Raggz said any board for that matter. I believe in Freedom of speech, but I think the way this whole thing was going it wasn't constructive or argumentative. It was malicious and juvenile.
I've come to think of this board as a nice group of musically like minded people to share info, music, etc, with from around the globe.
Sure we all have little spats now again, be it about certain bands, news of the day, politics, whatever. But it never gets to a point of launching some kind of nasty campaign against individuals. I think that is all beneath us.
That's my take on it.
Cheers!

I haven't been here since last Friday. What
happened? It sounds exciting.
What was being said - free speech, or hate speech?
D.

Frankly, I think the Peppermint Creeps would do well to look a bit closer to home, to whoever "Promosquad" is. Whever this bozo rears its head it causes trouble.

Fuckin ell, some people have too much time on their hands. What was it Oscar Wilde said? 'The only thing worse than being talked about is Not being talked about'
Legal action? Based on what critria? That some clowns have gobbed off that they don't like this band?
Promosquad are a bunch of childish wankers and PC are equally stupid for throwing their toys out of their pram. They could afford to sue anyone for liable anyway!!
